Zeolite can be used with any sanitization system at all. It removes much finer particles than conventional products; ie sand. Sand filters particles between the size of 35-150 microns, this does not include bacteria, giardia cyst, human hair, human or animal blood cells and all pollen etc. Zeolite removes particles down to a size of 3 microns and removes ammonia by ion exchange providing a superior water quality.

Zeolite lasts 3x longer than sand and removes far more contaminants and is less dense therefore requiring less media to fill your filter vessel. Because it cleans better you save energy, operating costs are cheaper and the life of you filter vessel will be extended.

Natural zeolite offers a unique three-dimensional-honeycomb structure and rough, pitted surface. It’s crystal structure, irregular surface, and high surface area make it a highly effective trap for fine particulates and ammonium ions.

Zeolite, will remove ammonia from water. This reduces the need for chlorine and the formation of chloramines. The porous structure of Zeolite is imbued with sodium ions, which remove ammonia ions through ion exchange. Lower ammonia ratios enable a better water balance and a reduced need for supporting chemicals. For this reason total dissolved solids are more easily controlled, providing reduced turbidity levels.
